Sponsor a Singer

We work with incredibly talented singers, some recently graduated from music college, others with much more established careers. All opera singers continue training throughout their careers, and often those working with us are taking on a role or repertoire new to them – in addition to the fact that the ‘up close’ nature of our work introduces dramatic techniques and stage skills which may be new to them.

Sponsoring a singer is a way to get closer to the music and drama of our productions – to find out how singers go about creating a character and making the music of an opera their own (often music which is very well-known, and which has been sung by very famous singers), and to know you have been instrumental both in supporting a talented artist’s career and helping OperaUpClose to bring a new production to the stage.

We are currently looking for generous supporters for our new production of The Magic Flute, opening in 2016.
