What does your donation do?
This help from our friends provides:
- One music stand sturdy enough to tour to countless venues all over the UK
- Two vocal scores for our singers
- Three hours' hall hire for a rehearsal
- Four subsidised tickets for young people to see our productions
Stage Door Supporter: £250
Provides a creative workshop, tickets to a performance and opportunity to meet the cast at stage door for ten young people
Your gift can help ensure that young people, especially those from less advantaged backgrounds, can enjoy opera in a range of ways: engaging workshops, chances to talk to artists, low-cost/free tickets and even employment opportunities.
'Operas are awesome!' Seven-year-old on seeing her first opera
Dressing Room Supporter: £500
Provides train tickets to take an entire opera cast to their dressing room in a regional venue
Access to the arts should not be a luxury, available only to those who live in big cities. Help bring the joy of opera to places it doesn't always reach. Thanks to your support, we tripled our touring schedule in 2017, adding new-to-opera locations and always offering affordable tickets.
Centre Stage Supporter: £1000
Provides the props to take centre stage in a new production
You help make the worlds created by our props, costumes and sets, which allow us to re-invent the operas we love for the widest possible audience – from a neon nightlife Magic Flute to a Roaring Twenties La Traviata.
Spotlight Supporter: £5000
Takes a principal singer from the first day of rehearsals, through music coaching and costume fittings, to the spotlight on opening night, thrilling audiences and shaping the future of opera in the UK
Our very first production in 2009, La Bohème, won an Olivier Award for Best Opera and in 2013, the Evening Standard called OperaUpClose ‘the brand leader’. With your help, we will keep working tirelessly to continue to deserve these accolades.
