The night will include a live auction hosted by Sue Lawley, with some incredible 'money can't buy' experiences up for grabs. We'll also be announcing more of our upcoming season and you'll have the chance to informally catch up with our team, and meet some of your fellow OperaUpClose supporters.
For those who missed out on tickets, or guests who would like to start bidding, the online auction is now live and can be accessed here.
The venue for this year's Gala Dinner, Verdi's, is an independent restaurant serving delicious Italian cuisine. Named after Parma's most famous son and foodie (er, Guiseppe Verdi), this welcoming, family-run restaurant is the perfect setting for our intimate event.
Our diners will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly on arrival, then treated to a fabulous three-course dinner, with accompanying wine. You'll be serenaded between courses and after dinner by OperaUpClose stars, Flora McIntosh and Caroline Daggett(OperaUpClose's La Traviata, Carmen, and Eugene Onegin) and you'll also be the very first to hear Robin Norton-Hale's new English version of our next production.
Part of the ticket price includes a donation towards OperaUpClose's work this year, including an opera specially written for three & four-year-olds. We hope you'll be able to help support our work bringing operas old and new to audiences young and old, and enjoy an evening of great food, wine and song into the bargain.
