OperaUpClose @
Henry Prince Estate

Olivier Award-winning OperaUpClose debut in Wandsworth with the tale of a messy love-triangle, weaving together some of opera’s best loved tunes into a moving and entertaining stage show.

Performed outdoors on the Henry Prince Estate, three opera singers perform these famous songs in witty English translations, ensuring that the audience can hear every word and follow every twist in the story. Featuring music from La Traviata, Carmen, La Bohème & Marriage of Figaro and accompanied by a small band of top-quality musicians, this show is for everyone. Even if you think you don’t know opera, you’ll recognise the tunes, and if you’ve ever been in love, you’ll recognise the emotions.

Ever wondered what a career in the arts might be like? Or how you’d go about writing, performing in, producing or directing an opera? Or perhaps you have a specific question about the performance? Join OperaUpClose’s core team of directors, producers, composers and performers for a conversation after the performance.
