Peace At Last

by Jill Murphy

Mr Bear can’t sleep. Mrs Bear is snoring. So he goes to sleep in Baby Bear’s room. But Baby Bear is pretending to be an aeroplane. So he goes to sleep in the living room…

Olivier award-winning OperaUpClose partners with Gallions Primary School in Newham to create a new opera for 3-5-year-olds, based on Jill Murphy's much-loved picture book, which has been delighting families for generations. Throughout this autumn, our cast and creative team will be running music-making workshops with the children at Gallions to contribute to the creative development of the opera.

Peace at Last will premiere at Gallions’ Summer Festival in July 2019 and follow with a national tour to schools and theatres later that year.

Running time: approximately 30 minutes, followed by playtime.
